39th Annual Manzanar Pilgrimage

WHEN: Saturday – Sunday, April 26th – 27th 2008
LOCATION: Manzanar National Historical Site (near Bishop, CA)

For the second year in a row, CAIR-LA is taking members of the Muslim community to participate in a one day visit to Manzanar where more than 10,000 Japanese Americans were interned based on their heritage during WWII. Program includes talks by former camp internees and their family members, an interfaith prayer service, an evening group session with the surviving camp internees and visitors and movie screenings.

  • Cost of trip - $125 per person in shared room, single room: $175 (special discount for families)
  • Space is limited, community leaders and college students encouraged to participate, scholarships available for students
